Pilgrimage to Crowland Abbey 25 April 2026

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

You are warmly invited to join us on a pilgrimage to the ancient Crowland Abbey.

Founded in the 8th century, this Benedictine monastery was established in honour of St Guthlac of Crowland, a renowned miracle worker (feast day: 11 April). The monastery was destroyed by the Danes in 866 and later rebuilt in 1091.

We will also remember the venerable martyr Theodore, who served as abbot in the 9th century (feast day: 9 April). He suffered together with his brethren and was later glorified as a saint.

The pilgrimage will take place at:

Crowland Abbey

46 East Street

Crowland

Peterborough

The Divine Liturgy will begin at 10:00 am.

Please note that an entrance fee to the Abbey may apply.

Everyone is welcome.
